    Dear Users,
The wiki, which has educational purpose, was created for EDUC-CI5506. A Curriculum Design course in order to provide brief information about different lessons plans, teacher guides, activity ideas, and as a place for students to have at their disposal a variety of credible sources for research projects.
Our Curriculum is based on the theories of John Dewey, Lev Vygotsky, Constructivist Theory, and the Social Cultural Perspective Theory. Our curriculum has diverse methodology that ranges from lecturing, in-class discussion, smaller writing assignments, research projects, and hands-on projects. Our major goal is to empower the learner, by allowing the learner to question, analyze, inquiry, by discussing in their groups, gathering, classifying, and interpreting written, oral and visual information through their analysis students will make inferences and draw conclusions, and develop their own hypothesis, and their own beliefs. Our assignments are student centered and are meant to challenge the learner, and to expose the learner to a wide range of ideas, ideologies, people, places, and events. Our Curriculum is divided into six units that begin with the Reconstruction Era and ends with current issues, and challenges faced by the United States today.
The wiki is divided into two sections:
The first one is the teacher section where you will find lesson plans, rubrics, primary sources, etc.
The second section is the student section which provides student resources for projects and descriptions of assignments.
